Great Stay

Our experience was overall fantastic. Condo was clean, cool, easy to access. Direct access to the beach. We had a question regarding beach chair service and it was answered promptly. Location is perfect as it minutes from so many great restaurants as well as the grocery store. This was our second year staying at this condo and have enjoyed both stays!

Great View and a Great Condo

Good overall

We stayed 4 nights at the end of July - 4 adults, 2 young kids. The condo is updated in most areas and served its purpose just fine. The location to the beach and the pool are excellent. We had an issue with the garbage disposal and it was resolved the next day - no impact to our trip it at all and handled very well by Benchmark. There were a few things that could be improved:
-The bathrooms could use an update, especially the toilets. Likely original to the condo
-Only one dish towel was provided which made drying dishes or air drying kids cups/bottles a bit challenging
-The rug in the living room is disgusting and moves very easily when walked on. Very easy to trip over and needs to be replaced.
-Empty flower pots on the patio with dead plants that just take up space and look ugly
-No wine opener in the kitchen - had to go buy one at Publix
-No pantry or any good place to store food. There is a weird area next to the fridge that has a lot of counter space but otherwise, groceries just have to sit on the kitchen counters.
-The table and chairs on the patio are great to sit in. The table is a bit unsteady though.
-The view is partially obstructed by a few tall, ugly bushes. It would be nice if the HOA would allow for those to be removed. You pretty much look right at them from the patio.
A few notes to renters:
-There is both a Keurig and 2 drip coffee makers. We were told it only had a Keurig
-There are a ton of leftover beach chairs and some beach toys in the bedroom closet. We were told there wasn’t anything left behind and wish we would have known.
-Publix is a short 5-minute drive away
Overall we were happy with the rental for our shorter stay. I would stay in the Monterey Condos again but would likely choose a different unit next time.
